Privacy Policy
How Wallpaper Wizard handles your designs and photos, advertising, optional analytics, and your privacy choices.
About this policy
This policy applies to the Wallpaper Wizard Android app published by Mastermind Apps (“we”, “us”). It explains what information the app and the services it uses handle, why, and the choices you have.
Wallpaper Wizard has no accounts, cloud sync or developer-operated server. It does not ask for your name, email, contacts, camera, microphone or location. Creating, editing and saving designs works offline; ads and, if you turn it on, usage analytics use an internet connection when one is available.
Your designs and photos
Your saved designs, custom palettes, favourites, working draft and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your device. We do not upload them.
If you choose a photo to take colours from, Android's photo picker gives the app only that photo. The colours are extracted on your device and the photo is not uploaded or kept by us.
PNG images and MP4 videos you export are saved to your device's shared Pictures or Movies folders and stay there until you delete them. Sharing happens only when you choose it: Android's share sheet, Add text in Kinetype (which sends the image to our Kinetype app), or Use when another app such as Kinetype asked for a background (the image goes back to that app). The app that receives it handles the content under its own policy. Setting a wallpaper uses Android's wallpaper service.
Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob: a banner below the editor, palettes and collection, and an occasional full-screen ad after you save or export a design. The live wallpaper itself never loads or shows ads. Google's advertising SDK may collect or receive:
- Network informationYour IP address, which can indicate an approximate location.
- Device identifiersAdvertising ID, app set ID and similar identifiers.
- InteractionsApp launches, ad impressions, taps and video views.
- DiagnosticsTechnical information about app and SDK performance.
Google uses this for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention and, where you allow it, ad personalisation. See Google's SDK data disclosure, how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy.
Optional usage analytics (Google Analytics for Firebase)
Usage analytics is off by default. Only if you turn it on under More options → Usage analytics does the app send usage information to Google Analytics for Firebase:
- Feature useFor example the chosen style, the number of colour stops, whether motion is on, saves, wallpaper changes and export length. Never your photos, designs, design or palette names, colour values or file names.
- App and device informationApp version, device model, Android version, language, approximate country, and a per-installation app instance ID.
Analytics does not collect the Advertising ID and is not used for ad personalisation. Turning usage analytics off stops collection and resets the local analytics data on your device. See Privacy and security in Firebase.
Your choices
- Ad consent: where required (for example in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), the app asks for your consent through Google's User Messaging Platform before ads use your data. You can change it at any time with Ad privacy choices in the app's menu.
- Usage analytics: on or off at any time in More options → Usage analytics.
- Advertising ID: you can reset or delete it in your device's privacy or Google settings.
- Ad preferences: My Ad Center.
Retention and deletion
You can delete saved designs in your collection. Everything in the app's private storage is removed with Android Settings → Apps → Wallpaper Wizard → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app; exported images and videos stay in your gallery until you delete them. Analytics data already sent is kept by Google Analytics for at most 14 months. Other information held by Google follows Google's retention policies and controls. If you email us, we keep the correspondence only as long as needed to help you.
Security and transfers
Your designs stay in Android's app-private storage. Google encrypts the data its SDKs send in transit. Google and our email provider may process information outside your country under their own safeguards.
Children
Wallpaper Wizard is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will help remove it.
Changes
We may update this policy when the app or its services change. The date at the top shows the current version.
